Sachin Kumar
This is the story of a young and potential boy named Mr. Sachin Kumar. His father name is late Mr. Vishwanath Ray, and his mother name is Mrs. Sarita Ray. His father was a leprosy patient, and due to his disease, he couldn’t go to work and many times, he was admitted to the hospital.
Due to his poor financial condition, he discontinued his studies and assisted his parents in survival. At that time, he was studying 10th grade and completed his papers of matriculation. He was also willing to get a better education, but his parents couldn’t afford his school fees. That’s why he was also engaged in the work for financial support to his parents.
During our conversation with him, he said that his father suffers from leprosy since childhood and faced various problems due to his disease. He said that the illiteracy and myths related to the disease suffer him a lot, and people are always afraid that it is a highly infectious disease, and it will also affect them. But my father was a real hero and always fought with society for the rights of the people affected by leprosy. From an early age, he still suffers from hunger and poverty.
Our team motivated him to continue his education. We assured him that we would provide financial support for his studies. We started to support him in 2016, and he is studying well. At present, he is pursuing graduation and willing to serve society after his graduation.
Sachin got very emotional during our conversation. He said that “I must express his heartfelt gratitude and thanks to LEPRA for their kind effort and cooperation for the needy and marginalised students willing to study more along with the Oracle funded CHAHA project. So many deprived and marginalised students like myself are always praying for all of you.”
